What it does not include is anything the terms call outside a package, such as heavy pet urine or red dye and ink stains, which get priced before any work starts. What the $99, 3 Room Package Actually Covers

The 3 room package runs truck-mounted deep steam cleaning through the carpet: hot water and cleaning solution go in under pressure, then get pulled back out along with the dirt it loosened. That is the method behind the price, not a rented machine and a jug from the hardware store. Heavy traffic areas, the path from the front door to the kitchen, or the strip in front of a couch, get a pre-treatment pass first so the steam cleaning has less to do by the time it reaches them.

Deodorizing and spot treatment for everyday marks, spills, and dirt tracked in are part of the same visit, no extra call needed. The edges, along baseboards and into corners, get their own pass, with grooming afterward to lift the pile back up so the room reads even instead of matted in the middle and untouched at the walls. None of this is a promise that every mark disappears; how much lifts depends on the carpet fiber, the age of the stain, and what caused it in the first place.

What Counts as a Room

The room rule that sets the $99 price: a room is any carpeted space up to 200 sq ft. A space larger than 200 sq ft counts as two rooms, and hallways and stairs are quoted separately as small add-ons rather than folded into the three. Two things sit outside every carpet package, ours included: heavy pet urine that needs enzyme treatment or sub-surface extraction, and red dye or ink stains. Both take more work than a standard cleaning, so the technician looks at the spot, prices the extra work, and tells you the number before starting anything. You decide whether to go ahead. If you decline, the crew cleans what your package covers and nothing more gets billed, and the extra work is never folded quietly into what you already paid. Five Questions to Ask About Any $99 Special

A $99 headline does not tell you what is inside it, from us or from anyone advertising the same number. Before you book with anyone, ask these five questions and get answers before the truck is in the driveway:

• What counts as a room? Get the square footage rule, not just a room count, since a large open room can count as two on its own.
• Are hallways, stairs, and closets included, or extra? Ask before the truck shows up, not after, so it is not a surprise on the invoice.
• Is pre-treatment part of the advertised price? It is worth asking plainly, since not every $99 ad spells it out.
