Do you move the furniture?
We move the everyday furniture: sofas, chairs, side tables, anything a technician can lift safely on their own, which in practice means under about 50 pounds and not fragile. We do not move beds, dressers, entertainment centers, televisions or anything with electronics or glass in it, because that is how things get broken. For those we use a tool that reaches underneath, so the carpet under them still gets cleaned without anything being dragged across the room. If you want a piece moved that we would normally leave, say so when the crew arrives and they will tell you honestly whether they can do it safely.
